10 Vintage Goals for 2025

As a new year rolls in, it’s the perfect time to set fresh goals, especially when it comes to my passion for vintage hunting and home decor. Inspired by the amazing vintage community (shoutout to TheVettelFarm on TikTok), I’ve decided to be more intentional with my thrifting adventures. Instead of just adding to my collections, I want to curate my finds with a purpose. Here are my 10 vintage goals for 2025:

1. Find One New Vintage Item for Every Holiday
From Valentine’s Day to New Year’s Eve, I want to discover at least one unique vintage piece for each holiday to add charm and character to my seasonal decor.

2. Curate, Not Just Collect
This year, it’s less about quantity and more about quality. I’ll focus on pieces that truly resonate with my aesthetic rather than collecting for the sake of it.

3. Incorporate Vintage Beyond the Kitchen
While Pyrex and barware will always have my heart, I plan to expand my vintage finds into other parts of my home—think textiles, artwork, and quirky decor items.

4. Rethink Storage Solutions
Let’s be real—I need to organize. My goal is to create functional, visually pleasing storage for my vintage items so they’re easy to access and appreciate.

5. Learn the Story Behind Each Piece
I want to dig deeper into the history of my finds. Knowing the background of an item makes it even more special and gives me stories to share.

6. Focus on Sustainable Thrifting
Being eco-friendly is part of the vintage lifestyle. I aim to reduce waste, repurpose items creatively, and support local thrift shops and estate sales.

7. Create Holiday Vignettes Throughout the Year
Instead of last-minute decorating, I’ll plan ahead to design thoughtful, vintage-inspired vignettes for every season.

8. Connect More with the Vintage Community
Whether it’s through social media, local vintage markets, or antique fairs, I want to engage more with fellow vintage lovers and share inspiration.

9. Document My Finds and Displays
I plan to keep a photo journal or blog series showcasing my vintage finds and how I style them throughout the year.

10. Make It Fun, Not a Chore
Above all, I want to keep the joy in thrifting. No pressure to find the perfect piece every time—just the thrill of the hunt and the happiness it brings.

So, here’s to a year filled with vintage treasures, creative displays, and connections with fellow thrifters. What are your vintage goals for 2025? I’d love to hear them
